Harrington and Power to compete in Irish Open

Pádraig Harrington and Séamus Power have announced that they will participate in the Amgen Irish Open at the K Club this September. Harrington, a three-time major champion, is 52 years old and has won 15 titles on the DP World Tour. This will be his 30th consecutive appearance in the Irish Open. He expressed excitement about playing at home, saying the tournament is very important to him. Harrington mentioned the great atmosphere at the K Club and how the supportive Irish fans inspire him during the competition. Séamus Power, from Waterford, also shared his eagerness to compete. He sees the Irish Open as a significant event and enjoys the chance to return home from America to play. Power called the tournament a highlight of his year. Earlier, Shane Lowry, a former champion, confirmed his participation, while Rory McIlroy joined in January. Rasmus Hojgaard will return to defend his title, having won last year’s event against McIlroy. He took home over €920,000 from a total prize fund of €6 million.
