Hartford man sentenced to four years for gun trafficking from Kansas to Connecticut

Algelly Diaz, a 42-year-old man from Hartford, was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a gun trafficking operation. He was convicted of having firearms shipped from Kansas to Connecticut for sale. Diaz's associates sent 73 guns, including assault weapons, to a location he managed in Hartford. He was arrested along with others in May 2023 after a multi-agency investigation uncovered the trafficking ring. Authorities found 90 rounds of ammunition and three additional firearms at Diaz's home. He is a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning guns.
