Harvey Weinstein diagnosed with leukaemia and receiving treatment in New York prison
Harvey Weinstein, 72, has been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia and is receiving treatment in a New York prison. This diagnosis comes a month after he was indicted on a new sex crime charge. Weinstein has a history of health issues, including COVID-19, pneumonia, and heart problems. He was previously hospitalized for various conditions and underwent heart surgery in September. He is currently awaiting a retrial after his previous conviction for rape was overturned. Weinstein faces additional charges, including first-degree criminal sexual act and third-degree rape, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
