Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes charges consolidated for 2025 retrial in New York
Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes charges have been consolidated for his retrial set for spring 2025, following a ruling by a Manhattan judge. This decision comes after Weinstein's recent diagnosis of chronic myeloid leukemia. Weinstein faces a new charge related to an alleged assault in a Manhattan hotel between April and May 2006. He has pleaded not guilty to this charge, which will be included in the upcoming retrial. In April, New York's Court of Appeals overturned Weinstein's 2020 rape conviction, citing errors in the original trial. The new trial was initially scheduled for November but is now expected to take place in early 2025.
