Haryana allocates Rs 95 crore for Panchkula nullah project
The Haryana government has allocated Rs 95 crore for a project to clean and rejuvenate two seasonal nullahs in Panchkula. A detailed estimate will be prepared next week, followed by a tender process to select a contractor. The project includes building retaining walls, installing nets to prevent waste dumping, and creating foot overbridges. Plans also involve plugging sewage discharge points and removing illegal encroachments to enhance public space. Additional features will include walking and cycling tracks, a children's play area, and increased greenery. The project will be reviewed by IIT, with development tailored to the varying sizes of the nullahs.
