Haryana BJP prepares to finalize candidates for civic elections
The Haryana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is close to finalizing its candidates for upcoming civic polls. A meeting led by Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini focused on selecting candidates for mayoral and municipal council positions. The party plans to announce its first list of candidates in the next few days, pending approval from higher authorities. The selection will include both experienced members and new faces, rewarding loyalists from previous elections. Additionally, the Haryana BJP is creating a unified manifesto for the civic elections. District units are tasked with identifying local issues to include in specific manifestos. The elections are set for March.
