Haryana man arrested for killing parents over property

Police have arrested a man named Himmat Singh for the murder of his parents in Haryana. This follows the disappearance of the elderly couple, Mahender Singh and his wife, Bala Devi, from their home in Kamalpur Roran village. Investigators began searching for the couple after relatives reported finding blood stains at their residence. A police team, led by deputy superintendent of police Indri, entered the home but could not locate the couple. A formal complaint was filed by Mahender's brother. On Sunday, authorities discovered Bala Devi's body at the morgue of a civil hospital in Panipat. She had multiple wounds and was found in a canal. The search for Mahender Singh’s body is still ongoing. During questioning, Himmat admitted to having a troubled relationship with his father and ongoing disputes over property. He confessed to killing both parents and disposing of their bodies in the canal. Police have now charged him with murder.
