Haryana police official's brother found strangled in Yamunanagar
The body of Bharat Bhushan, the brother of a Haryana police officer, was discovered in Yamunanagar on Friday. He had been missing since Thursday evening after leaving his house in Munda Khera village. Kamalveer Singh, Bharat's brother, reported him missing when he couldn't reach him by phone. On Friday morning, he asked police to help track Bharat’s mobile phone location. When they arrived at the location, they found Bharat's body. Police believe Bharat was murdered. An officer said he had been strangled, and his white car was parked nearby. They found his mobile phone, a liquor bottle, and a water bottle in the car. Police have opened a murder case against unknown suspects and are looking into call details. In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen shot at a restaurant owner in Jhajjar on Thursday night. The owner, Sandeep Saini, was leaving his restaurant when the assailants approached on a motorcycle and fired at him. He was hit in the shoulder but is now out of danger. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the attackers and will soon file an official report.
