Hazel isn't a typical hero in South of Midnight
The developers of the action-adventure game South of Midnight have introduced a new approach to their main character, Hazel. Instead of making her a "Chosen One," they focus on her being a relatable character. This decision highlights the importance of connection over heroism. Hazel is described as a typical kid who is searching for her mother. Compulsion Games writer Zaire Lanier explained that she doesn't have superpowers. Rather, Hazel represents anyone facing difficult times. In the game, the land selects her as a "Weaver" during a crisis. Weavers can see the "grand tapestry" of the universe. They have the ability to manipulate its strands for various spells. However, their main role is to listen to others’ stories and understand their traumas. They do not solve problems for people but help them cope in their personal journeys. Fans can look forward to South of Midnight being released on April 8. The anticipation is building as players eager to experience Hazel's story prepare for its launch.
