HBO Max announces limited-time discounted pricing in Australia

HBO has announced the pricing for its streaming service, HBO Max, in Australia ahead of its launch on March 31. There will be three subscription options available, with special lower prices for the first year. The "Basic" plan costs $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. This plan includes ads and allows streaming on two devices at once in full HD. After April 30, the price will increase to $11.99 a month. The "Standard" plan costs $11.99 a month or $119.99 a year. It includes no ads, supports streaming on two devices, and allows 30 downloads. The price will rise to $15.99 a month after the introductory offer. The "Premium" plan is priced at $17.99 a month or $179.99 a year. It offers 4K streaming on four devices and includes 100 downloads, all without ads. This plan's price will increase to $21.99 a month after the promotional period. HBO Max content will still be accessible through Foxtel’s services. Subscribers can find HBO shows using the Max app on compatible devices. This change takes effect on March 31. Popular shows like "The Last Of Us" season 2 and "House of The Dragon" will be available only on HBO Max. Movie titles like "Barbie" and classic series like "Friends" will also be part of the platform's offerings.
