Hearth and Hill opens second location in Sugar House
A new restaurant named Hearth and Hill opened in Sugar House on Friday. This family-friendly, upscale-casual eatery is the second location for the brand, which first opened in Park City in December 2018. The new spot is located at 2188 S. Highland Drive in Salt Lake City. The opening was delayed by two years due to a significant fire that occurred while the building was still under construction. On October 25, 2022, a fire caused extensive damage to The Residences at Sugar Alley. Luckily, no one was hurt, and the Kirchheimer family, who own Hearth and Hill, decided to continue with their plans despite the setback. The restaurant features a spacious interior with high ceilings and open kitchens, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It can seat 190 guests indoors and 60 outside. The design includes custom lighting and a unique variety of seating arrangements, aiming to create a cozy, home-like feel. Hearth and Hill's menu offers a range of contemporary American dishes, combining familiar favorites with new options. Family-friendly choices include elevated kids' meals such as steak and fish, alongside fun desserts like root beer floats and dirt cups. The Kirchheimer family hopes to establish Hearth and Hill as a community gathering place. They plan to use the outdoor space for family-oriented activities, such as storytelling sessions for kids. This focus on family, along with a diverse menu, reflects the growing and diverse population of Salt Lake City.
