Hearth House reopens in La Mesa after renovations by new owners
Hearth House, a renovated dive bar in La Mesa, has reopened under new owners Chad Cline and Jason Nichols. They aim to maintain the bar's neighborhood charm while adding features like an arcade area and a karaoke stage. The bar, which has a history dating back to 1985, closed in March for renovations and a liquor license transition. The new owners have updated the space while preserving its unique horseshoe-shaped bar and adding comfortable booths. Customers have responded positively to the changes, noting the bar's transformation into a cozy pub. Cline and Nichols also own several other popular San Diego taverns, including The Waterfront and Aero Club.
