Hemant Soren celebrates Baha Parab in Nemra village
Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife celebrated Baha Parab in their ancestral village, Nemra, during Holi festivities. This ancient tribal festival honors nature's renewal, marked by collecting flowers from the forest. The couple participated in traditional rituals, emphasizing the importance of co-existing with nature. They donned traditional attire and offered flowers to the forest deity, Jaher Aayo. Baha Parab is celebrated until the full moon of Falgun, with varying dates in different villages. Many tribal members attended the event, which included prayers led by a tribal priest using forest materials.
