Henriksen's coaching lifts Mainz to third in Bundesliga
Bo Henriksen has made a strong impact as the head coach of Mainz since he started in February 2024. He has led the team from a dangerous position near the bottom of the Bundesliga to the third spot in the league. Midfielder Nadiem Amiri praised Henriksen's positive attitude in a recent interview with Sport Bild. Amiri mentioned that the Danish coach has an “honest heart,” which is very valuable in football. He described Henriksen's energy as amazing, asking how someone can be so consistently positive. Amiri explained that while Henriksen stays calm during practice, he becomes very enthusiastic before games. “He talks all the time and gives us a lot of passion,” Amiri said. He added that Henriksen encourages the team by dancing and having fun in the locker room, which helps relieve tension before matches. Amiri is currently with the German national team, preparing to face Italy in the UEFA Nations League.
