Hewick's betting support surges for 2025 Grand National
Hewick, an Irish-trained horse, is gaining a lot of attention ahead of the Grand National next week at Aintree. The horse was famously bought for just €850 and is now favored by many, currently sitting at odds of 10/1. Gavin Sheehan has been confirmed as his rider, which has increased interest and betting support for Hewick. He has become the most popular choice among bettors, taking 13% of all bets placed on Oddschecker this week. Due to this surge in bets, bookmakers have lowered his odds from 20/1 to a best of 12/1. Hewick is now the fifth favorite overall, trailing behind last year's Irish Grand National winner, Intense Raffles, who leads the odds. Leon Blackman from Oddschecker noted that the Grand National is set to have significant betting activity this year. The percentage of total bets on Hewick has nearly doubled, showing his popularity among racing fans and bettors.
