Hideaki Anno writes scripts for five anime projects

Hideaki Anno, the famous director of "Evangelion," has announced he is working on five new anime scripts. This news comes as he prepares for his upcoming Gundam series, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," which is set to release on April 8, 2025. On March 18, Anno shared his excitement on Twitter, marking 53 years since the premiere of "Kamen Rider vs. Shocker," a show that inspired him. He mentioned that he is involved in voice recording and writing scripts for these five projects. If his new Kamen Rider project gets the green light, it could become a sixth project. It's not clear if the Gundam series is included in his five works. Speculation among fans suggests the other projects may include a new "Space Battleship Yamato" film, along with possible sequels to "Shin Ultraman." In October 2024, it was announced that Studio Khara, which Anno leads, gained the rights to produce a new animated "Space Battleship Yamato" film, expected to start production this year. As for "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," the story follows a high school girl named Amate Yuzuriha. Living in a space colony, she becomes involved in a dangerous mobile suit competition. Meanwhile, an unidentified mobile suit and its pilot appear, hinting at exciting conflicts ahead.
