Hilo officer shot; police seek suspect Christopher Lucrisia
A police officer in Hilo, Hawaii, was shot in the head and arm during an attempted arrest of Christopher Lucrisia, a convicted felon. The officer is in serious but stable condition and has been airlifted to Oahu for surgery. Lucrisia, 39, is wanted for multiple charges, including reckless endangerment. He allegedly fired at officers while they approached his vehicle. A second suspect, Silas Zion, 23, was arrested shortly after the incident and faces charges as an accessory to attempted murder. Police have expanded their search for Lucrisia islandwide. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. The injured officer has been placed on administrative leave following the shooting.
