Ghaziabad's Hindon terminal is now fully connected to all major metro cities in India. Air India Express began operating flights from Hindon on March 1. The first flight to Chennai landed on Saturday with an occupancy of 70%. Starting Sunday, the Hindon terminal will feature a flight route that includes Chennai, Jammu, and returns back to Chennai. The flight from Chennai takes off at 5:05 AM and arrives in Ghaziabad at 9:05 AM. It then departs for Jammu at 9:55 AM, taking about 95 minutes. Air India Express recently began services to other cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. They will add flights to Bhubaneswar on March 30. Star Air has also started two flights from Hindon to Nanded and Adampur under a regional connectivity scheme. However, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has challenged the government's decision to allow flights from Hindon. They argue that commercial flights should not operate within 150 kilometers of an existing airport, and Hindon is only 30 kilometers from Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Delhi high court has asked the government to respond to this challenge.
