Hingham wins girls hockey championship, defeating Bishop Stang
Hingham girls hockey team won their first Div. 1 championship since 2011, defeating Bishop Stang 5-2. Senior captain Caroline Doherty scored a hat trick, leading her team to victory in a game held at the Garden. Hingham, ranked first, faced early adversity when Bishop Stang took a 1-0 lead. However, Hingham quickly equalized and took control, with Doherty scoring three goals to secure the win. This victory marks Hingham's third championship in school history. The team finished the season with a record of 24-1-1.
