Historian predicts Kamala Harris will win presidential election against Donald Trump

Historian Allan Lichtman, known for accurately predicting presidential elections, forecasts that Kamala Harris will defeat Donald Trump on November 5. This prediction remains unchanged despite recent polling showing a tight race. Lichtman bases his prediction on 13 criteria, or "keys," assessing factors like party mandate and economic conditions. He maintains that eight keys favor Harris, while three favor Trump. Lichtman’s method has been successful in predicting nine of the last ten elections. His only incorrect prediction was for the 2000 election, where he anticipated a win for Al Gore.
