Historic thatched cottage in Hampshire completely destroyed by fire
A historic Grade II listed thatched cottage in Hampshire was completely destroyed by a fire on March 15. Over 50 firefighters and 10 fire engines responded to the blaze, which started around 5:30 PM. Elderly residents were evacuated from the cottage, and nearby residents were advised to stay away and keep windows closed. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire crews reduced their presence by 10 PM, but some remained on site overnight.
