Hojlund likely to join Napoli in striker swap
Rasmus Hojlund is expected to leave Manchester United this summer. Reports suggest he may join Napoli as part of a striking swap deal. Hojlund had a good first season with Manchester, scoring 16 goals. However, his performance has declined in the current season, with only three goals in 24 league matches. His recent goal against Leicester was his first in 21 appearances. With Joshua Zirkzee performing well, Hojlund's position at United seems uncertain. Both Gazzetta dello Sport and the Mirror confirm that Napoli is interested in him as they aim to strengthen their squad for a return to the Champions League. United signed Hojlund for £64 million, which could rise to £72 million with add-ons. They are reportedly asking for £50.4 million for him. Napoli finds this price too high, even after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for €80 million to PSG in January. In this potential swap, Victor Osimhen could move to Manchester United. Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray and will look for a new opportunity when he returns to Napoli. His current release clause is €120 million but will decrease to €75-€80 million in July. Manchester United is keen on finding a strong striker, and Osimhen is one of their top targets. A swap deal where Hojlund and some cash are sent to Napoli in exchange for Osimhen could emerge.
