Homebase expands kitchen showrooms within The Range stores
Homebase has opened a new kitchen showroom inside a The Range superstore in Ruislip, UK. This launch is part of a recent effort to revive the brand after it fell into administration last year. The company has recently created "exclusive" garden centres in The Range stores. This new kitchen showroom offers customers a chance to view various kitchen designs and book free design appointments. Homebase shared the news on Facebook, encouraging shoppers to visit or opt for virtual appointments. Last November, Homebase entered administration due to decreasing consumer confidence after the pandemic. However, about 70 stores and 1,600 jobs were saved when it reached an agreement with The Range's parent company, CDS. In addition to the new kitchen showroom, Homebase has opened 29 garden centres within The Range. Sixteen more garden centres are planned to open soon across the UK and Ireland. Meanwhile, some former Homebase locations are being taken over by competitor B&Q and Wickes.
