Homicide investigation launched after Wellington man's death

Police in Wellington are investigating a homicide following the death of Abdul Nabizadah, 63. He was found with serious head injuries on a footpath in Miramar on March 17 and died the next day. Authorities believe Nabizadah suffered his injuries from an assault. They are asking for the public's help and want witnesses to come forward. Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard highlighted the importance of collecting dashcam footage from the area. Police also seek to identify two pedestrians seen on CCTV near the scene. Nabizadah, originally from Afghanistan, was discovered shortly after police responded to a serious burglary nearby. The investigation is ongoing.
