Honda launches Activa e electric scooter with swappable batteries in India
Honda has launched the Activa e electric scooter in India, marking its entry into the country's electric vehicle market. The Activa e features swappable battery packs, offering a range of up to 102 kilometers and connectivity options through Bluetooth. The scooter will be available for purchase in Spring 2025 in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. It comes in two variants and multiple color options. Honda will also introduce a battery-sharing service called Honda e:Swap in these cities. The Activa e is powered by a 4.2 kW motor and includes three riding modes, with a top speed of 80 km/h. Honda has also launched the QC1 electric scooter, designed for short commutes, featuring a 1.5 kWh battery and a range of 80 kilometers.
