Honda's Acura RSX to debut with Asimo operating system in 2026

Honda has revealed that its new electric vehicle, the Acura RSX, will feature the Asimo operating system. This marks a return for the RSX nameplate from the early 2000s and the Asimo project, which ended in 2018. Asimo OS will help the RSX recognize its surroundings and understand driver intentions, enhancing automated driving capabilities. The RSX will be the first production vehicle to use this technology, unlike Honda's current EVs, which rely on General Motors' platform. Production of the Acura RSX will begin at Honda's new factory in Fayette County, Ohio, expected to be operational by the end of 2025. The vehicle is anticipated to be available to consumers in 2026. Honda is also continuing its merger plans with Nissan, focusing on EV components and software.
