Hong Kong man arrested for dragging police officer during traffic stop

A 56-year-old man in Hong Kong was arrested for "furious driving" after allegedly dragging a police officer for 70 meters on New Year's Day. The officer suffered injuries while trying to stop the van. The suspect was apprehended on Thursday in Lok Ma Chau, found with 10 grams of cocaine. He had previously made a false report about being harassed during the incident. The officer had noticed the driver with a syringe and suspected drugs in the van. The driver ignored commands to exit the vehicle and fled, leading to the officer's attempt to stop him.
