Hopetown's developers emphasize originality, not just legacy
Longdue, a game studio, is launching a crowdfunding campaign for its new game, Hopetown, which some are calling a spiritual successor to Disco Elysium. The studio has highlighted its connections to former Disco Elysium developers. Technical lead Piotr Sobolewski and narrative director Grant Roberts emphasized that while they have ex-Disco team members, they aim to create something original. They believe past experiences do not define their new project. The Kickstarter campaign for Hopetown begins today, March 17. Longdue aims to develop a unique game that builds on the legacy of Disco Elysium while focusing on their own creative vision.
