Hormone-disrupting face primers found in Hong Kong
scmp.com —
A recent study in Hong Kong found that 20 out of 37 face primers tested may contain substances that disrupt hormones. The Consumer Council reported that nearly 95% of the primers had concerning ingredients. Only two brands were free from potential endocrine disruptors. The council advised caution, especially for women trying to conceive, pregnant, or breastfeeding. The primers tested ranged in price from HK$108 to HK$995. The council recommended simpler formulations and cautioned against early make-up use among adolescents.
