Houghton-le-Spring man sentenced for child abuse images

A man from Houghton-le-Spring has been sentenced for possessing and sharing thousands of child abuse images. Craig McCrory, 33, had over 3,000 sexual images and videos of children, some as young as one year old, on his devices. McCrory pleaded guilty to charges of making and distributing indecent images of children. In court, it was revealed that he shared these disturbing materials with others. He received a two-year jail sentence, but it has been suspended for two years. The judge stated that McCrory poses a medium risk to children but also noted the possibility of rehabilitation.
