House Ethics Committee shares report on Matt Gaetz's alleged misconduct with all members
The House Ethics Committee has made the report on Matt Gaetz's alleged misconduct available to all its members. Previously, only the chair and the ranking member had access. The committee will discuss the report on Wednesday. This development follows Gaetz's resignation from Congress last week, which seemingly concluded a two-year ethics investigation. A lawyer for alleged victims stated they attended multiple "sex parties" with Gaetz between 2017 and 2018. Bipartisan calls for the report's findings to be released have increased after Gaetz was nominated for Attorney General by Donald Trump. House Speaker Mike Johnson has requested that the committee keep the findings confidential.
