House fire in Asbury Park leaves one dead, three injured

A fire in an Asbury Park home on Friday morning resulted in one death and three injuries. The blaze was reported at 11:09 a.m. A man rescued from the house later died at the hospital. Two other individuals, a man and a woman, along with an Asbury Park police officer, were treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials do not consider it suspicious. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is assisting the fire marshal's office in the investigation. The identity of the deceased man has not been released.
