House fire in Sacramento controlled quickly; residents safe

A house fire occurred on Golden Field Way in Sacramento on Tuesday morning. Fire crews received the call at 9:21 a.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the two-story house. The fire was contained and extinguished by 9:52 a.m. Two people were able to evacuate safely, and firefighters rescued a cat that was still inside the home. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Authorities did not report any injuries.
