HP introduces AI-powered PCs and software solutions
HP has introduced a new range of AI-powered computers and software solutions at its Amplify 2025 Conference. This lineup includes updated EliteBook and EliteDesk business systems, OmniBook consumer devices, and new gaming PCs. HP's CEO, Enrique Lores, believes AI will transform the technology landscape, similar to how the internet did in the early 2000s. The HP EliteBook 8 Series is designed for workplace users, featuring AI tools for productivity and improved sustainability. These models have powerful Neural Processing Units (NPUs) that promise better power efficiency and faster image generation compared to older models. Meanwhile, the EliteDesk 8 Series offers security features designed to protect against future quantum computer threats. HP has also refreshed its OmniBook series for consumers, which includes convertible and clamshell devices tailored for creative professionals and students. These models come with either Intel or AMD processors. For gamers, HP has launched new laptops under its OMEN and HyperX brands. The HP OMEN 16 Slim is focused on portability without sacrificing performance, while the OMEN Transcend 14 enhances power efficiency, ideal for mobile gamers. Additionally, HP's OMEN Gaming Hub now features AI to optimize gaming performance automatically. HP's HyperX Cloud III S wireless gaming headset claims up to 200 hours of battery life and provides enhanced audio quality. The company is also rolling out AI software for its PCs, including the HP AI Companion, which acts as an advanced research assistant, and a new global connectivity service called HP Go for mobile professionals. Finally, HP's Workforce Experience Platform has been upgraded with AI tools to improve IT operations and employee satisfaction, including sentiment analysis and data insights. Overall, HP's new offerings reflect a strong push towards integrating AI into both consumer and business technology.
