HP launches first 18-inch ZBook Fury G1i workstation
HP is set to launch its first 18-inch mobile workstation, the ZBook Fury G1i. It features Nvidia's latest RTX Pro 5000 GPUs, designed for high-performance content creation. The product was previewed at HP’s Amplify Conference in Nashville, where a variety of new laptops were announced. The ZBook Fury G1i is part of HP's well-regarded Fury line. Unlike some other models, this version uses Intel's Arrow Lake processors instead of AMD Ryzen chips. This powerful combination is aimed at professionals like CAD designers and software engineers who need top-notch performance. The laptop is quite large at 1.1 inches thick and weighs 7.78 pounds. This makes it more suitable as a stationary workstation rather than a portable laptop. The design includes a spacious screen that serves well for detailed work, but it may not be easy to transport frequently. Connectivity options are robust. Users will find multiple USB Type-C ports, HDMI, and an SD card slot. The two USB-C ports on the left support Thunderbolt 5, while the one on the right supports Thunderbolt 4. This feature is beneficial for transferring large files quickly. Inside, the Fury houses Intel’s Arrow Lake Core Ultra HX chips. Customers will have various processor options, including models with up to 20 cores. Coupled with the new RTX Pro 5000 GPUs, this setup promises strong performance for demanding applications. The workstation can support up to 192GB of memory and 16TB of storage, along with advanced cooling technology to keep it running smoothly. HP has not yet announced pricing or release dates for the ZBook Fury G1i, leaving potential buyers eager for more information.
