HP's Omen AI boosts gaming FPS significantly
At the HP Amplify Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, a tech enthusiast discovered new ways to improve PC performance for gaming. This insight came after realizing that his manual efforts to boost FPS (frames per second) in games like Counter-Strike 2 were not effective. The solution he found is HP's Omen AI, which was first unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. Omen AI showed significant improvements in FPS during the conference, boosting a laptop's performance from 82 to 111 FPS. This is a 35% increase, which is quite impressive. Omen AI operates through the Omen Gaming Hub. Users can activate it with a simple toggle switch. Once activated, the AI analyzes the user's hardware, current game settings, and operating system to enhance the gaming experience. The system learns from millions of data points gathered from various PC configurations online. Currently, Omen AI is in Beta and can optimize only a limited selection of games, including Counter-Strike 2. However, more demanding games are expected to be supported later this year, which will showcase the potential of Omen AI further. Overall, Omen AI aims to provide easy and effective performance optimizations for all HP gaming and consumer PCs.
