Hrithik Roshan overcame stammering to become successful actor
Rakesh Roshan has shared details about his son Hrithik Roshan's struggle with stammering. He revealed this during a discussion about Hrithik's childhood and how it affected him in school. Rakesh remembered how painful it was to see Hrithik struggle to express himself. He recounted a moment in Dubai when Hrithik wanted to say "thank you" but got stuck on the word. In frustration, Hrithik even locked himself in the bathroom to practice saying it. Despite these challenges, Hrithik worked hard to overcome his stammering. Rakesh noted that Hrithik would read newspapers every morning in different languages. Now, he no longer stutters and has been free from it for many years. Rakesh also talked about how he showcased Hrithik’s talent through movies. He directed ‘Koi... Mil Gaya,’ which features Hrithik as a boy with disabilities who becomes friends with an alien. The film helped display Hrithik's acting skills and led to the superhero series ‘Krrish.’ Rakesh is currently working on ‘Krrish 4’ and plans to announce it soon. He also won an award for his contributions to film at IIFA 2025. Rakesh underscored the importance of trying new roles and themes in movies, which keeps him inspired and motivated as a filmmaker.
