Huntington Beach baseball wins 7-1 against Marina
The Huntington Beach baseball team had a strong start to a busy week, winning 7-1 against Marina in a Sunset League game. The match took place at Marina High School on Tuesday. Starting pitcher Tyler Bellerose led the way, allowing one run and two hits in four innings. He struck out two batters and walked three. Three relievers, Duncan McLeod, Jake Frohn, and Jared Marchbank, each pitched one inning and helped maintain the lead. Together, they recorded four strikeouts and surrendered just one hit. Huntington Beach is currently ranked No. 1 in Orange County. They are 3-0 in the league and will play four games in four days. Head coach Benji Medure praised the pitching effort, noting the importance of planning for the upcoming busy schedule. Marina initially took the lead when Max Conde drove in a run in the second inning. However, Huntington Beach quickly responded in the third, scoring four runs despite only having one hit.
