The storm knocked out the power grid, collapsed hundreds of homes, and forced the evacuation of 283,000 people. As of Friday morning, Rafael was a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 110 mph, located 230 miles from Progreso, Mexico. It is expected to weaken and move westward, but no hurricane warnings are currently in effect.
