Husqvarna launches affordable robot mowers with GPS

Husqvarna has introduced a new line of robot mowers called the Automower iQ series. These mowers will offer a feature called EPOS, which stands for Exact Positioning Operating System. This technology allows for accurate lawn mowing using GPS without needing guide wires. Previously, the Husqvarna Automower 450XH EPOS was priced at $5,900, making it expensive for many buyers. The new iQ series starts at $2,999.99, making it more affordable. The iQ series includes models that can handle various sizes of gardens, from a small 0.5 acres to larger areas of up to two acres. The mowers feature improvements to help them work in areas with weak satellite signals. They also come with better navigation abilities, including larger wheels and an upgraded bumper design. This will make it easier for the mowers to handle slopes and obstacles in the yard. The Automower iQ series has four models: the 410, 420, 440, and the 435 iQ AWD. Each model varies in price and garden coverage. The 435 iQ AWD is designed for tougher terrains and can manage slopes of up to 70%. However, this model has slightly shorter cutting lengths compared to the others. Husqvarna has not announced a specific release date for the Automower iQ series but mentioned that they will be available this season.
