Hyderabad cop injured in liquor bottle attack

A police constable in Hyderabad was attacked with a liquor bottle on Tuesday. The constable, N Srikanth, was on patrol when he saw a road accident near Tolichowki. He noticed a biker, Waseem Ahmed, arguing with others and tried to help. When Srikanth intervened, Ahmed became aggressive and attempted to escape. The constable chased him down and caught him. In a fit of anger, Ahmed struck Srikanth with a broken liquor bottle, causing injuries to his head, nose, and left hand. Police have arrested Waseem Ahmed, and an investigation is ongoing. The constable was treated for lacerations and has been released after receiving first aid.
