Hyderabad implements extensive security for IPL 2025
Hyderabad is preparing for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) match, which starts on March 23 and continues until May 21. The 18th IPL match will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. To ensure safety, about 2,700 police officers are being deployed. This includes various units such as security teams, traffic police, and elite anti-terror squads. Additionally, 450 CCTV cameras will be installed at the stadium and in adjacent areas to monitor activities. Several fire tenders and firefighting squads will be on standby for emergencies. A command center will be set up to oversee the CCTV footage and respond quickly to any incidents that may arise. The police have also established strict rules for spectators. Items prohibited inside the stadium include laptops, banners, water bottles, and sharp objects. Fans are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages. A special unit will be present to address any harassment issues during the event.
