Hyundai and Suprema develop AI security solutions together

Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with Suprema to create advanced security solutions that use robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a complete security system that incorporates these technologies. The collaboration will focus on improving how AI interacts with Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This integration aims to enhance the autonomous driving abilities of robots. These improvements will benefit services like food delivery and package delivery in buildings designed for robots. The main goal of this partnership is to deploy various autonomous robot services. They plan to develop technologies that connect robots to the existing infrastructure in these robot-friendly buildings. Last year, they successfully integrated 53 facial recognition devices alongside a fleet of service robots. Suprema will work to shorten the development time needed to expand the capabilities of these robots. They plan to use their access application programming interface (API), which simplifies the connection with infrastructure like speed gates and automatic doors. This will help make autonomous driving smoother. Both companies aim to create new solutions for the security industry that includes mobility. They also intend to propose new standards and certifications to set a benchmark in the industry. Their goal is to work closely together to establish a robust robotics-based integrated security solution.
