I-80 crossover plan eases truck traffic during repairs

It will let some vehicles use a westbound lane to get around the construction area. This means that trucks and other large vehicles can stay on I-80, avoiding detours and alternate routes. Officials from the Department of Transportation say the crossover will help reduce congestion. They are finalizing designs and expect the construction to start soon. The goal is to make travel easier for commercial vehicles during the repair work.
