Ian Redpath, a former Australian Test cricketer and Hall of Fame member, has died at the age of 83. He played 66 Tests from 1964 to 1976, scoring 4,734 runs and eight centuries. Redpath was known for his strong defensive batting style. Redpath made his Test debut against South Africa, scoring 97 runs. He became the last amateur to play for Australia, initially refusing payment for his debut series. He later accepted payments and had a successful career, including a notable performance against the West Indies. After retiring, Redpath coached Victoria and remained active in cricket.
