ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan seeks arrest warrants for Israel's Netanyahu and Gallant
Karim Khan, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), is pursuing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant. He accuses them of crimes including murder and persecution related to the Gaza conflict. On November 21, a three-judge panel unanimously agreed to issue the warrants. Khan claims Israel has systematically deprived Gaza's civilian population of essential supplies. Netanyahu has condemned the decision, calling it antisemitic, while Hamas also criticized Khan's actions. Khan is facing an external investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denies. He has stated he will continue his duties as prosecutor during the investigation, delegating some responsibilities to his deputies.
