ICC issues arrest warrants for Israeli leaders over Gaza conflict allegations
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the Gaza conflict. The ICC stated there are reasonable grounds to believe they are responsible for using starvation as a method of warfare and depriving civilians in Gaza of essential resources. The court also rejected Israel's appeal regarding its jurisdiction. An arrest warrant was also issued for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel claims was killed in an airstrike in August.
