ICC praises PCB preparations for 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has expressed satisfaction with the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled for February 19 to March 9, 2025. PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi provided a detailed briefing during an ICC meeting. The PCB confirmed that stadium upgrades are on track and invited ICC members to visit Pakistan to review the preparations. Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi will host the tournament, but India's participation remains uncertain. India has not confirmed its attendance, leaving the decision to its government. The PCB offered support for the Indian team's travel after matches, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) denied receiving such a proposal.
