IED blast in Quetta kills ATF member, injures six
An IED blast in Quetta, Pakistan, killed one Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) member and injured six others. The explosion targeted an ATF vehicle on Barori Road. The injured were taken to the hospital, where one later died. Security forces quickly cordoned off the area for investigation. Train operations in the Quetta Division are suspended due to security concerns following a recent hijacking incident involving the Jaffar Express. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the hijacking, stating that 214 hostages were killed after a failed negotiation with Pakistani forces. The military reported that all 33 rebels involved in the incident were killed during a clearance operation.
