IIT Delhi student falls victim to digital arrest scam as police arrest suspect in Chennai

Investigators traced the money to various suspects, revealing a network involving cryptocurrency exchanges. The arrested man admitted to converting the stolen funds into cryptocurrency and selling it to a Chinese contact.
